Director Lyn Kent formed Belsoft originally as an accountancy practice in 2007 with a desire to use the skills and experience gained in large companies to work alongside smaller companies to improve their profitability. Since that time accountancy has changed beyond recognition with cloud based software such as Xero and other web based systems revolutionising business accounts and management information. A growing proportion of the work was not preparing accounts but instead optimising systems to do this work effectively.
After 10 years of providing accountancy services, Lyn took the decision to concentrate predominantly on strategic management consultancy and the architecture and implementation of effective business systems and this is the work that Belsoft focuses on today. As an accountant and Xero partner this is usually based around financial systems but also how they fit into the overall systems architecture of a business to ensure that all systems work in an integrated way.
Lyn Kent is a Chartered Management Accountant and a registered Member in Practice with CIMA. This status has been gained via a combination of examination passes and applicable experience. The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants is a leading accountancy body that offers a globally recognised professional management accounting qualification with an emphasis on accounting for business. CIMA qualified management accountants have an excellent understanding of finance and business. They use this to shape the future of their organisations. Lyn is also a qualified Microsoft Office Specialist and Certified Xero advisor.
